Momglish on the Radio!

Many thanks to Rebecca Michi, a children’s sleep consultant in Seattle, Washington, who is doing a weekly reading from our Momglish pocket dictionary to kick off her show that airs on Mondays from 2-3 pm PST. We had the lovely pleasure of meeting Rebecca at the recent ABC show and was able to chat for a few minutes before she was dashing off to catch a flight.

Rebecca brings her knowledge as a parent educator and specialist in early child development, her terrific British sense and sensibility, and her eye for what is cool and interesting and fun for young families today. If you’re a parent looking for sound advice, busy mom who wants to keep up with the latest parenting advice or a parent at their wit’s end with a baby or child who just won’t sleep tune into The Rebecca Michi Show, where you’ll get sensible tips, expert advice and a shared community of like-minded moms who are right in there in the trenches of parenthood with you – those who are frustrated with it’s challenges and also blessed with it’s joys. You can find her at KKNW 1150 AM.

All I can say is I wish you had been in my life seven years ago, Rebecca! I can hardly think of a more noble cause than helping the world get more sleep. OK, maybe that’s an exaggeration, unless you’re a new mama! Thank you, Rebecca, and sweet dreams to all!

We also had the good fortune to meet Executive Editor, Lauren Brockman, and the P&N crew at the recent ABC show. Thank you, Lauren and P&N!

From Work Flow to Milk Flow

This week we had a request from Cheryl at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois: Could we offer the Go with the Flow: Pumping in Progress Door Hanger separately for use in their lactation rooms on the military base? We were honored at the request and sent off a handful yesterday.

We also decided to offer this door hanger separately since it’s perfect for the workplace. Does your workplace have a need for one? You can find it in our store right here!

If you’re at Scott Air Force Base and you suddenly notice more smiles and chuckles in the halls, you’ll know why. Thanks, Cheryl!

Momglish featured in Pregnancy & Newborn Fall 2011 Buyer’s Guide!

We’d like to give a big shout out to the crew at Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine for including our pregnancy “you wish” drink coasters in their Fall 2011 Buyer’s Guide! This fun and funny shower gift sets the perfect stage for a creative couples-friendly bash like the one staged by P&N below.

We’ll drink to that (even if new mamas can’t!)

Heading to the ABC Kids Expo in September!

We’re excited to report that we’re taking Momglish to the ABC (All Baby and Child) Expo in Louisville, Kentucky from September 23rd through the 26th. In its ninth year, the expo is the premiere juvenile products specialty show in the U.S. With more than 900 exhibitors in over one million square feet of exhibit space, it is currently the fastest growing trade show in the nation.

And here’s some more good news… we’ve been selected to exhibit in the juried Modern Child section, which represents the most innovative and modern designs within the industry.

If you’ll be attending the show, stop in and see us at booth #3332!

A Sticky Situation

from Jamie

While at the park one evening this week, I had a little chuckle when I spotted this colorful car in the parking lot. Love it! If we can’t take time out for some small pranks here and there, then what’s the point? I also had the good fortune to see the owner walk up to his car while I was stretching. I’d say he was a good 15 minutes late to his next destination, but I guarantee his day became just a little more memorable!

Disclaimer: For the record, Egg2Cake would never suggest the use of our Momglish stickies for anything but organizational purposes. Off the record, what you do with your stickies is your business!

Blog Feature: Daily Peppermint

Thanks to Debbie for sharing our Guesstation belly growth chart as a pregnancy tip on the Daily Peppermint!

Debbie writes, “The belly chart was really a fun way to keep track of my progress because it allowed my four-year-old son to feel like he was involved. It folds up so after our second child was born we kept it in a box of keepsakes for her. It’s really nice.”

Thanks for the feedback, Debbie!
